The AF-S DX VR Zoom lens delivers astounding color reproduction by utilizing Nikon’s Super Integrated Coating system. Its broad focal range and excellent zoom coverage make this lens one of the most versatile and reliable tools in a photographer’s arsenal. A Silent Wave Motor allows for quick, precise, and quiet focusing and the flower-shaped lens hood reduces stray light, giving you the power to nail that perfect shot regardless of your shooting conditions. The AF-S DX VR Zoom lens is billed as a “one lens” solution, meaning you can leave all the extra equipment at home and take this ringer with you on the road for even the toughest gigs.

Cons: Corners aren't great, distortion, sharpness suffers past 100mm
Great compromise lens; you give up corner sharpness and possibly some wideangle range, but you don't need to swap lenses and can succeed where 2-lens sets fail.
